Healthcare workers are potentially exposed to HIV (as well as inoculation diseases, e.g. Hepatitis B HBV and Hepatitis C HCV) in their day-to- day activities. Other occupational groups with high risk of exposure to the diseases are law enforcement, fire, ambulance, other emergency responders and public service employees.
